Abstract

Artificial intelligence has emerged as a relevant tool in different fields, especially in healthcare. This study analyzed the nutritional composition weight-loss meal plans proposed by ChatGPT® for an adolescent, requested in three levels of detail, with the aim of critically evaluating their adequacy. The analysis was conducted using the Brazilian Food Composition Table (TACO), the Dietary Guidelines for the Brazilian Population, and household measurement tables, with results compared to the Dietary Reference Intakes (DRIs). Findings showed that, although the plans included dietary diversity, there were imbalances in macronutrient distribution and deficiencies in key micronutrients. Therefore, it is concluded that, despite the potential of artificial intelligence as a support resource, its isolated use does not ensure full compliance with nutritional recommendations. The role of the nutritionist remains essential to guarantee individualized, safe, and effective dietary interventions.
