Revista Faculdades do Saber

There are images that transcend time. This cover is one of them.

In July 2013, the first issue of the Revista Científica Faculdades do Saber was born. Still published in print, its pages carried far more than scientific articles: they held the dreams of a group of professors, researchers, and scholars who believed that knowledge should not remain confined to classrooms or libraries. Science needed to reach people, cross boundaries, inspire reflection, and transform realities.

At that time, it may have been impossible to imagine the scope this project would eventually achieve. What began as an academic initiative became, over the years, an established platform for scientific dissemination, bringing together researchers from different institutions, regions, and countries, fostering dialogue across fields of knowledge, and strengthening research as an instrument for human and social development.

The history of the Revista Faculdades do Saber has never been written by a single person. It has been built by many hands and countless hearts. Authors, peer reviewers, editors, scientific boards, proofreaders, layout designers, professors, students, and readers have all contributed to ensuring that each issue was published with responsibility, scientific rigor, and a commitment to the quality of academic production.

Throughout this journey, we have celebrated achievements, witnessed the development of new researchers, and seen countless studies extend beyond the pages of the journal to make an impact on schools, universities, healthcare services, communities, and public policies. Published science thus found its true purpose: to produce knowledge capable of bringing about transformation.

Yet every journey is also marked by the passage of time.

Some of those who shared this dream with us followed different paths. Others completed their professional journeys. And there are those to whom we had the painful task of saying goodbye. They remain, however, alive in our memories and forever part of the history of this journal, for every contribution has left a mark that continues to be present in each new issue published.

Science has the extraordinary ability to transcend time. As people continue along their journeys, knowledge remains. It inspires new research, answers questions from the past, and raises countless others that have yet to emerge.

Today, as we look upon this first cover, we see far more than a printed issue. We see courage. We see idealism. We see the beginning of a story built upon the conviction that sharing knowledge is one of the noblest ways of serving society.

Celebrating this anniversary means reaffirming the commitment that gave rise to the Revista Faculdades do Saber: to produce, preserve, and disseminate high-quality science; to bring researchers together; to foster critical thinking; to encourage new discoveries; and to help ensure that knowledge remains a collective, accessible, and transformative heritage.

May the forthcoming issues continue to honor those who began this journey and welcome those who will write the next chapters of this history.

Because science is built by people.
And people move on.
But knowledge remains.
