Abstract

Biopsychosomatic Reprogramming (RBPS) is an integrative therapeutic approach designed to reorganize
psychophysiological patterns associated with maladaptive emotional experiences and the persistence of
psychosomatic manifestations. Its theoretical framework is based on neuropsychophysiology,
contemporary psychosomatics, principles of neuroplasticity, and mechanisms involved in autonomic
nervous system regulation. The intervention combines specific tactile stimulation with the conscious
recognition of emotional experiences to promote neurofunctional reorganization and clinical
improvement. This study aimed to investigate the clinical and psychophysiological effects of RBPS in a
patient with chronic cervical pain associated with anxiety. A qualitative, descriptive, and exploratory case
report was conducted in which the participant underwent three RBPS therapeutic sessions. Outcomes were
assessed using the Visual Analog Scale (VAS), the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI), a body awareness diary, and
qualitative clinical observation records. Quantitative data were analyzed through descriptive statistics and
the Reliable Change Index (RCI). At the end of the therapeutic protocol, a marked reduction in physical
symptoms and improved emotional self-regulation were observed. These findings suggest that RBPS may
represent a promising therapeutic strategy for reorganizing psychosomatic responses while enhancing the
functional integration between emotional and bodily processes.
