Child development is a multidimensional process, involving physical, cognitive, language, and socio-affective aspects, influenced by genetic factors and lived experiences. Positive experiences in early childhood, such as affectionate interactions and stimulating environments, favor the healthy acquisition of developmental milestones. The school environment is fundamental, as it allows the child to explore their individual characteristics and interact socially. This objective: To evaluate the neuropsychomotor development of children enrolled in Early Childhood Education at an age not mandated by the MEC (Brazilian Ministry of Education). Methodology: An exploratory study was conducted, evaluating children aged 2 to 4 years from a private institution, assessed using the Francisco Rosa Neto Motor Development Scale (EDM), analyzing their progress in relation to the pedagogical activities developed. Results: The results obtained demonstrated that the areas of greatest development were, respectively, spatial organization, language/temporal organization, and gross motor skills. All participants were classified between average and very superior development. Conclusion: It can be concluded that early childhood education is considered a very important factor in the development process of children in this age group who are not required to attend school.
