PSYCHOLOGICAL TESTS IN SATEPSI: CHARACTERIZATION AND DISTRIBUTION OF APPROVED INSTRUMENTS

The Psychological Testing Assessment System (SATEPSI), established by the Federal Council of Psychology (CFP) in 2003, sets standards for psychological test quality in Brazil. This quantitative, descriptive, and documentary study analyzed the approved tests available on the official SATEPSI website in January 2025, identifying 165 instruments. The most assessed constructs were Intelligence (20.61%), Personality (16.97%), and Attention (16.76%). Most tests are individually administered (96.97%), with 71.52% also suitable for group use. Regarding format, 29.09%aredigitaland65.45% are manual. For scoring, 82.42% use manual methods and 58.79% computerized ones. The majority target adults: 79.39% for ages18–30and76.36%forages31–59.Additionally,88.48% of tests do not required specific educational level. The study reinforces SATEPSI’s importance in regulating and ensuring the quality of psychological tests in Brazil, contributing to reliable psychological assessments.
