Abstract

This article addresses the teaching and learning in the mathematics discipline, considering that it is viewed by students in a negative and discouraging way, because students do not see meaning in the contents in relation to their practical experiences. For this reason, it is important that the teacher does not work mechanically with the students, but offers different proposals and teaching methods. The educator can work content using the active methodologies and games in which aims to make the student autonomous and protagonist. Games is a facilitating method because children are already born with this willingness to play, so it is up to the teacher to take advantage of this spontaneous action and apply with objective the various educational games so that students associate the contents with their practical experiences.
